Cape May Zoo Enrichment Structures

During my summer zookeeper internship, I was tasked with designing and completing a project that benefited the zoo, animals, or staff. I decided to build two enrichment structures for the Callitrichidae primates; a cube to hang interactive toys from, and a honeycomb structure to promote foraging and climbing. I designed these from scratch and upon completion, my projects were exhibited in the Cotton-top Tamarin enclosure and I had the opportunity to see them being used. These projects were also submitted to the Hose2Habitat organization for their yearly enrichment structure contest.
